Our Care Model

At the present time, over five million Americans are struggling with Alzheimer’s or some form of dementia. This number is expected to grow exponentially over the next five to ten years.

In light of these statistics, one of the major challenges a family can face is finding trustworthy care for a parent or loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementia. It can be difficult to find a community or home that not only provides quality care but also an environment that helps individuals reach their highest potential while preserving their dignity.

Dignity
We believe that every person has an innate right to be valued and receive ethical treatment. This is especially true for those who suffer from the disease process of dementia. We feel strongly that they are very worthy, and we honor them as if they were family.

Respect
Every person is a unique individual and inherently deserving of our respect. At Friendly Horizons we base our care on a foundation of respect for our residents and their families and for ourselves as individuals. We strive to help our residents maintain a positive feeling of esteem.

Charity
Love and unlimited kindness are at the core of our model of service. Soft spoken words, a gentle hug, a warm smile, a kind look are all given abundantly as we serve the residents at Friendly Horizons.

Patience
Our goal is to live with our residents striving to be patient and passionate, doing the right thing and always acting in the best interest of our residents and families. We do this because we believe that it is our privilege and honor to serve.

Trust
Integrity and character are of such high value to us that our word and actions will always be true. We acknowledge the fact that trust must be earned, and we strive every day to act in ways deserving of your complete trust. It is our sincere pledge that we will care for your loved ones as if they were our own family.
